About Us

Trust for Community Development (TCD) is a registered charitable, non-political, non-profit organization established in 1992 and formally registered in 1995 under the Indian Charitable and Religious Trust Act, 1920. Since its inception, the Trust has been committed to empowering socially and economically disadvantaged communities through education, healthcare, skill development, and social welfare initiatives.
With its roots in Malda, West Bengal, the Trust has been working tirelessly to improve the quality of life of underprivileged children, women, youth, and rural families. Over the years, it has established educational institutions, promoted literacy, organized health awareness programmes, conducted free medical camps, provided disaster relief, and encouraged communal harmony and social inclusion.
The Trust believes that education is the foundation of social transformation. Guided by this vision, it has established nursery and primary schools, madrasahs, adult education centres, vocational training programmes, and initiatives for girls' education. Alongside education, the Trust actively promotes public health, sanitation, environmental awareness, sports, cultural development, and rural livelihood programmes.
During natural disasters and emergencies, the Trust has consistently provided humanitarian assistance by distributing food, clothing, medicines, blankets, and other essential relief materials to affected communities.
Today, Trust for Community Development continues to expand its services with a vision of building an educated, healthy, self-reliant, and inclusive society. The Trust remains dedicated to serving humanity without discrimination and creating sustainable opportunities for the holistic development of marginalized communities.
